Beyond.com is seeking a DBA with business requirements planning skills. In addition to providing production DBA support, you will engage in understanding the business model, define system requirements, and convert information into a technical specifications. You will work with an experienced team of DBAs with a wide range of experience and varied industry exposure. The pace will be fast paced and you will be expected to perform under crises conditions.Qualifications include: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast pace crisis environment Design and development of stored procedures Design and maintenance of DTS / SSIS packages Development of new features, applications, and reporting solutions Assist in maintaining and improving database operational efficiency Assist in client support and trouble shooting Performance tuning of indexes and stored procedures Work with business units gathering system specifications and design technical processes Requirements: Skills Required: Experience with SQL Server 2005 architecture, relational database concepts and SQL A solid understanding of physical data modeling, database design principals, programming, and a system development lifecycle Experience with TSQL and Stored Procedure development and troubleshooting Experience with MS SQL Server 2005 tools, including use of Query Analyzer, stored procedures, DTS, SSIS, Jobs and Profiler Understanding of XML helpful Ability to plan, organize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously Strong communication skills required; ability to interact with multiple levels of personnel within the organization and externally. Ability to work independently, with minimum supervision Minimum of 3 years experience performing database development functions as described above.
